Keith Chandler

Keith Chandler is an entrepreneur and businessman. He has developed several modern retail products including cold weather survival gear, sleeping bags, specialized emergency blankets, residential and commercial hydroponic systems, and developed, patented, constructed, and operated a commercial hydroponic greenhouse complex.
His real-world skills coupled with his passion for studying and learning from the past, allows him to bring to our students and staff at Monticello College a unique leadership perspective—the ability to learn from the past, live comfortably and calmly in our current turbulent environment, and at the same time prepare for the unknown future.
Keith has real-world experience including living for several years in off-grid type environments, training and instructing Community Emergency Response Teams and training CERT instructors, worked as an ambulance EMT, studied multiple forms of martial arts, is a licensed HAM radio operator, teaches primitive and self-sufficiency skills, and has attained advanced firearms training.  In his continued association with technology, survival and disaster experts, he has developed a passion for assisting family, friends, and associates in preparing for the coming challenges that are becoming increasingly necessary in our changing world.
His focus is to enjoy the benefits and freedoms that come from daily self-sufficient living.  He believes we can incorporate the best from the past, studying, testing, and utilizing old-fashioned, sustainable lifestyle methods that allowed our ancestors to survive and thrive in extremely harsh environments, merging them with the technology of today, preparing for the unknown conditions in the future. He currently lives with his wife Kristy in Spring City, Utah.
