Sandra Stapley is the CEO and co-owner of Deseret Peak Aquaponics Greenhouses. Recognizing the importance of being an entrepreneur in today’s economy, Sandra and her husband growing organic produce, for personal and local consumption, in the complete Ecosystem of Aquaponics.
Prior to becoming a business owner/operator of the greenhouses, Sandra served as a Board member for the Art of Womanhood Board of Directors from 2007 to 2009 and President of the Board from 2009 to 2011. Previous to her position with the Art of Womanhood, she served as a seminar presenter with Face To Face With Greatness Seminars during 2006, and the Alumni President of George Wythe College, Cedar City, UT, from 2005 to 2007.
Sandra has a broad and varied community service background, having served as a discussion leaders for the Great Books program at Sunrise Elementary School in Sandy, Utah. She also served on the Board of Directors for Draper Historic Theater, while participating in plays, serving as clothing and prop designer, and managing the seating restorations project. She taught TJEd classes for scholar phase students in Lehi, UT, for 2 years, before moving with her husband to Grantsville, UT. Sandra served as an election Delegate for her Tooele County district, and a member of Grantsville CERT program.
Sandra received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Leadership Education from George Wythe College, and is certified as an Emotion and Body Code Energy Healer Practitioner. She and her husband are the parents of five children, and a growing number of grandchildren. Besides her love for growing food, Sandra enjoys designing felted throws, hats, slippers, gloves and miscellaneous items from the fiber of her Alpaca herd.
